Officials Will Open a Time Capsule Found at a Canadian University

A dormitory building at Mount Allison University, in New Brunswick, is giving up secrets in its demise. In April, while demolishing a portion of the building during a renovation, workers found a copper box embedded in a wall. The box was situated behind a plaque commemorating Mount Allison students who served in World War II. The building opened in 1946.
The contents of the box will remain a mystery for a few more days. University officials plan to open the box in a university auditorium on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., and the university will Webcast the event.
The dormitory is being transformed into a student center. University officials plan to bury another time capsule in the walls of the new building.
