Middlebury Proposes Limiting Tuition Hikes

Ronald D. Liebowitz, president of Middlebury College, has proposed that it limit increases in its comprehensive fee (for tuition, room, and board) to no more than the Consumer Price Index plus one percentage point each year. The proposal, which requires the trustees' approval, is to be presented to the board at its meeting this week.
