This follows not only a second midyear cut, but a huge cut for most (all) LA schools at the beginning of the year. What LSU at Shreveport is proposing is essentially what all LA Universities are enduring. Sadly, education is seen as the problem, not the solution. Rather than following in Lamar Alexander's (Past Gov of TN) footsteps and massively increasing higher education funding and opportunities, with the result of seeing the state's economy go from the bottom of the scale to the middle in very short time, LA (and it appears most states) are cutting education. So sad.....
