In Pursuit of Greater Access
The House Science Committee unanimously approved a bill on Wednesday to create a $250-million grant program that would help minority-serving institutions upgrade their campuses with wireless technology and new computers. The measure’s future is uncertain, however, with hurdles remaining in both chambers of Congress and in allocating the money. (The Chronicle, subscription required)
