Harvard U. Administrator to Lead U. of the Arts
Sean T. Buffington, associate provost for arts and culture at Harvard University, will become president and chief executive of the University of the Arts on August 15, according to an item on The Chronicle’s News Blog.
The reporter, Paul Fain, notes that “at 38, Mr. Buffington, who has been Harvard’s top arts administrator since 2002, will be one of the nation’s youngest university presidents. He will also be among only a small number of openly gay college chiefs.”
Buffington replaces Miguel Angel Corzo, who is leaving after seven years to be closer to his family in Los Angeles.
