Getting an A the Easy Way

A student at Purdue University at West Lafayette stands accused of hacking into a campus computer system to change his less-than-stellar grade in a physics course. The student, Mark Schneider, faces charges of computer tampering and trespassing, according to the Associated Press.

The hacking incident might have gone unnoticed were it not for the fact that Mr. Schneider’s course was graded on a curve: When his grades were allegedly altered, they also affected the grades of a number of other students, and a professor noticed that something was amiss. (Associated Press)
