French Publishers Attack Google
A trade union of publishers in France, Le Syndicat National de l'edition, has joined a French lawsuit against Google's continuing project to digitize millions of books, reports Ars Technica. The group says Google Book Search shows "contempt for fundamental intellectual-property rights." In the United States, groups representing authors and publishers have also sued Google over the project. --Andrea L. Foster
