Faculty Contract at U. of Florida Ends Years of Negotiations

The University of Florida's faculty union has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, The Gainesville Sun reports. After years of negotiation, it is "almost certain" that the three-year deal will be ratified by the union's members, its president said. The university's Board of Trustees must approve the contract as well for it to go into effect.

B-ball coach Donovan makes 3.5 million until 2013 - and, if fired, gets 2.5 million for every year left.
F-ball coach Urban Meyer gets 4 million for the next 6 years.
Meanwhile, UF refused to negotiate faculty salaries for three years, took six to get a three year contract, plus a special magistrate.
Nice to know that UF has its priorities straight.
