Facebook Links Create Surge in Web Traffic
Facebook’s new platform that lets designers and businesses create their own applications for the social-networking site is causing a huge uptick in traffic to the Web sites it links to, according to an article this week in WebProNews.com. The site HotorNot.com, for example, which rates peoples’ appearances, doubled its daily unique visitors from 182,000 to 350,000 in the United States, the report says. —-Andrea L. Foster
