Embezzlement via eBay

A former employee of Bowling Green State University has been charged with using $400,000 in university money to buy computers and electronics -- hardware that he is accused of turning around and selling, according to the Associated Press.

Michael McHugh, manager of a book depository that stores items from Bowling Green's library, was fired in November after campus officials traced a number of "unusual orders" to him. The officials now say that Mr. McHugh had been embezzling money since 2001 by buying machines and reselling them on eBay. Mr. McHugh has pleaded not guilty to charges of theft. --Brock Read
