As Nebraska Community Colleges Feud Over Funds, Report Urges More State Oversight

A report prepared for the Nebraska legislature recommends creating a statewide council to manage the allocation of funds among the state's six community colleges, the Lincoln Journal Star reported. The report says the current system of delegating that task to a nongovernmental association isn't working. The report comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by one of the colleges against the other five in a dispute over how the money is divided now.
