A Testing Ground for Video Games

Games created by Electronic Arts, the highly successful video-game manufacturer, have already worked their way into a lot of high-school students’ bedrooms. Now the titles may show up in their classrooms as well.

Through a collaboration with Britain’s National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts, the company will conduct a series of trials to see how its computer games fare as educational tools. Four schools will test the games to see if they improve students’ "problem-solving, resilience, persistence, and collaboration"—or simply test teachers’ patience. (Computing)
