A Lead in Ohio U. E-Mail-Fraud Case
Officials of Ohio University at Athens are investigating whether a former director of the university’s School of Visual Communication could be the author of a forged e-mail message that unsuccessfully tried to derail an administrator’s candidacy for the position of provost.
The fraudulent e-mail message, which bore the name of the chair of Ohio’s Faculty Senate, was traced to a computer in Columbus, Ohio, on which someone had used the log-in name of the former director, Larry Nighswander. He resigned from the university last summer after being sued by a former student who accused him of sexual harassment. (The Post)
