6 Wounded in Shooting at Texas Southern U.
At least six people were shot and wounded last night in what was described as a gang-related attack on the Texas Southern University campus during an event recognizing a Houston area rap musician, according to the Houston Chronicle.

U. of Illinois Board Chair Cued Up Job for Son-in-Law

Chicago Colleges to Dump Student-Loan Debit Cards With Hefty Fees
The City Colleges of Chicago are dropping a much-criticized system of debit cards for student-loan refunds that charged students a fee each time they used the cards, boosting the profits of JPMorgan Chase, the card's issuer. The Chi Town Daily News, which blew the whistle on the deal, reported today that the U.S. Education Department called the fees illegal.
