College Workers Have Support of Labor Board, at Least for Now

College labor unions are in for a heady few months followed, potentially, by a very rough four years.
The National Labor Relations Board, which is dominated by appointees of President Obama, appears poised this fall to hand union organizers in academe two major victories: a reversal of the NLRB's 2004 decision denying graduate assistants at private colleges the right to unionize, and a reinterpretation of federal law that would allow many of the private-college faculty members now
