Yet Another Blue-Ribbon Panel Takes On Science and Math Education

When the National Science Board formed a panel last year to recommend how to improve science education in America, many educational experts groaned, "Not another commission!" Since the 1980s, several panels have issued reports on that topic that later gathered dust on bookshelves.
Nevertheless, yet another national commission, featuring some prominent academics, was announced on Thursday. The members hope to make a difference, despite that history.
