Yale to Overhaul Tenure Process
After more than a year of deliberations, a faculty committee at Yale University has recommended that it significantly revise its tenure process and strengthen its commitment to junior faculty members in the arts and sciences, partly to better compete for talent with peer institutions.
In a report released last week, the committee reaffirmed that the university is committed to granting tenure to the most qualified candidates, but also underscored the need to provide junior faculty
