Yale Plans Multimillion-Dollar Expansion of Its Presence in India
Yale University will spend $30-million from its endowment on an ambitious interdisciplinary effort that will build its course offerings and faculty expertise in India as well as expand student recruitment, research partnerships, and faculty and student exchanges there.
The Yale India Initiative, announced by Richard C. Levin, the university's president, at a ceremony in New Delhi this month, could eventually cost as much as $75-million.
