Writing Section Is SAT's Most Predictive, Researchers at U. of Georgia Find
Since the revamped SAT made its debut in 2005, admissions officials have eagerly awaited research on the test's predictive value. This summer has brought a stack of it.
In the latest, a study by researchers at the University of Georgia has found that the new writing section is a much better predictor of academic success than the test's critical-reading and mathematics sections.
