Wrestling Coaches Sue Education Department Over Title IX Enforcement
The National Wrestling Coaches Association and several other groups are suing the U.S. Department of Education over how it enforces a federal sex-discrimination law in athletics. The groups argue that Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 has been applied in a way that hurts men's sports teams, a charge that advocates for women's sports reject.
