Wrestling Coaches Lose Challenge to Gender-Equity Rules
By WELCH SUGGSCoaches of wrestling teams and other men's sports with dwindling participation lost the latest round in their lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education when a federal appeals court ruled this month that even though colleges may be eliminating men's sports to comply with the department's gender-equity guidelines, the department itself cannot be held liable for the cuts.
