Working Mothers and Day Care

As a business-school professor, I, too, am in a domain dominated by older males, and I sympathize with complaints regarding maternity leave and so forth ("Life as a Mother-Scientist," Careers, December 1). However, I fear that some child-care complaints fail to acknowledge that our parental counterparts in corporate America, or any work domain outside of academe, look at us with envy. ...
