Women Finish Fast at Private Colleges
Some 35 percent of first-time, full-time college students who plan to earn a bachelor's degree reach their goal within four years, and 56 percent achieve it within six years, according to a report released by the U.S. Department of Education last week.
The figures, which cover students who entered four-year colleges in the fall of 1998 and followed their progress through August 2004, showed that completion rates were higher for women and students at private nonprofit
