With Help, a Musician Goes to College
Rob Quattrociocchi, a high-school dropout, had little wisdom to impart when his son, Andrew, began looking at colleges.
"We were clueless," says Mr. Quattrociocchi, who teaches guitar in Seattle.
However, Andrew's grandmother, who directs a program that helps high-school students get college credit for vocational work, knew Bob Dannenhold, a private counselor in Seattle. After hearing the anxiety in her voice about Andrew's future, Mr. Dannenhold agreed to work with the family,
