A junior at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls who received a citation for underage drinking compounded his legal woes last week, when he stole hundreds of copies of his campus newspaper and burned them in order to hide word of his drinking violation, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported today. Now he is front-page news across the region. The student, Tory Schaaf, told the Pioneer Press that he regretted his actions and would pay restitution to the student newspaper, the Student Voice. Mr. Schaaf, who burned the newspapers at his fraternity house, still faces possible criminal charges as well as campus disciplinary actions. —Andrew Mytelka
