Wisconsin Lawmakers Want Professor Fired
The University of Wisconsin at Whitewater is under pressure from Republican state lawmakers to fire a professor that it recently demoted from the position of dean.
An internal audit released in late April said that Howard L. Ross, dean of the College of Letters and Sciences since 1993, had spent $310,000 on his university credit card over a six-year period without providing receipts or documenting the expenses. Among the items questioned by the audit were $15,220 for personal cellphone
