Will the Next Generation Internet Create a New Class of 'Have-Not' Universities?
Conferees from rural institutions say they need federal aid to avoid falling behind
The Next Generation Internet and other network improvements for elite research universities run the risk of creating a new class of "have-not" institutions with no access to high-speed Internet connections, presidents and other senior executives of rural universities in 17 states and Puerto Rico warned at a conference here.
