Why Was Princeton Snooping in Yale's Admissions Web Site?
The widely reported case of Ivy League snooping -- in which at least one Princeton official broke into Yale University's Web site for notifying students about admissions decisions -- was evidence of just how aggressive elite institutions can be in chasing the nation's top students, according to some admissions officials. But others said that there was no conspiracy to unearth, and that the case represented merely a unique instance of bad judgment.
