Why SIU's President Removed the Chancellor
To the Editor:
On several occasions, The Chronicle has implied that I was removed from my role as chancellor of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in response to allegations of plagiarism. The most recent occasion was "SIU President's Plagiarism Is Deemed 'Inadvertent'" (The Chronicle, October 26). The implications are incorrect.
