Who Is the College President?
A CHRONICLE SURVEY: WHAT PRESIDENTS THINK
He (it's usually a he) is at least 50 years old, white, and Christian, and he attends religious services at least once a month. He is a registered Democrat and voted for John F. Kerry in the 2004 presidential election. He has been president at least three years, exercises to relieve stress, still believes there is an important place for affirmative action in college admissions, and ranks rising health-care costs as the No. 1 concern on a list
