When Multiple Submissions Seem to Be the Only Option
To the Editor:
Leonard Cassuto's "Breaking the Unfair Rules of Scholarly Publishing" (The Review, January 18) has to be one of the most obnoxious articles I have read in some time. Why do most academics seem to think that the world somehow owes them tenure, and that lying, cheating, and just plain rudeness are justifiable means to that end?
Scholarly publishers are certainly not perfect, but they face serious financial problems and ought not to have their time and money wasted
