When Islamic Scholars Want to Come to America

Alan Wolfe's "Why America Should Welcome Tariq Ramadan" (The Chronicle Review, September 10) should never have appeared in a journal devoted to higher education. Full of innuendos, elisions, and obfuscations, it never provides convincing academic reasons for allowing Tariq Ramadan into the United States, let alone having him teach at one of our more prestigious universities.
