When Home-Schooled Students Apply to College
To the Editor:
I see one gaping hole in the government's proposal about admitting home-schooled students to college ("A Growing Force," January 17). Do home-schooled students present transcripts to colleges' admissions offices? There's important information in a transcript that isn't in scores on standardized tests: the courses the student has taken. ...
If a student has a passing grade on a transcript for physics, it's easy to see that the applicant has met a minimal science
