When Disaster Strikes

I was completely on board with Lynne M. Adrian's essay ... when it pointed out that individuals are paying the price as corporations bear less and less of the burden of tax responsibility ("Disasters and What They Show Us About America's Values," The Chronicle Review, October 7). The American public needs to hear more voices expressing similar sentiments, especially from speakers who won't let themselves be easily trapped into a right-versus-left political
