Crutcher signed his contract to become the new president of Wheaton College in Massachusetts he boarded a plane for London, carrying his cello. Currently the provost at Miami University in Ohio, Mr. Crutcher, 57, has performed and traveled around the world as a member of the Klemperer Trio for 24 years.
