Wellesley College Sets Up In-House Investment Office for Its Endowment
Wellesley College has become the latest institution to bring management of its endowment investing in-house. Almost as important, the women's college has hired a woman to run it.
Jane Mendillo, a longtime Harvard Management Company fixture, is relocating her financial acumen from Cambridge to Boston's western suburbs, where she will manage Wellesley's $1-billion endowment.
Along with Cynthia Frost at Brown University and Alice Handy at the University of Virginia, Ms. Mendillo
