Weill Medical College Gets $400-Million
Weill Medical College of Cornell University announced gifts totaling $400-million last week, including a $250-million pledge from Joan and Sanford I. Weill, which the institution will use to build a research center and recruit new faculty members.
"Gifts like this transform the college because they enable us to take bold steps and make major investments rather than incremental ones," Antonio M. Gotto Jr., dean of the medical college, said in an interview.
