Ways to Help Students at Community Colleges

To the Editor:

I read with interest Karin Fischer's article "CUNY Starts Program to Improve Community-College Graduation Rates," (The Chronicle, February 2). Many of the steps outlined to help newly admitted low-income students complete their studies and find jobs seem to be very positive ones that will help them succeed.
