Washington U. Preserves Former Law Dean's Face in Stone

Law students here at Washington University are seeing double when it comes to the recently retired dean of the school.

Sometimes they see the real Dorsey D. Ellis, Jr., who retired as dean last summer but continues to teach as a law professor.

And other times they see a sculpted likeness of Mr. Ellis, which university officials have installed on the law-school building to honor him.
