James O. Armitage,

dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, has been appointed by President Clinton to the National Cancer Advisory Board.

Paul Brachfeld, assistant inspector general for audits at the Federal Communications Commission, has been appointed by John W. Carlin, archivist of the United States, to be inspector general of the National Archives and Records Administration.
