Walton Foundation Gives U. of Ozarks $39.5-Million

The endowment of the University of the Ozarks doubled in one day last month, but not because of shrewd investing. A $39.5-million gift from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation was what pumped up the value.

Earlier in October, the foundation had given $50-million to the University of Arkansas College of Business Administration.
