Car sharing revs up on college campuses as officials grapple with parking and congestion

Until recently, faculty and staff members at the University of Massachusetts at Boston who needed a car to get to university business during the day would reserve one of the Chevrolet Luminas in the university's 10-car motor pool. But the cars, which were purchased in the 1980s, were giving in to wear and tear.
