Virginia Commonwealth U. Took Proper Steps After Degree Scandal, Agency Says

Virginia Commonwealth University will face no action or monitoring from its accrediting agency for the improper awarding of a degree to a former police chief, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' Commission on Colleges said this week. The commission found that the university’s investigation into the incident, and its subsequent response, were sufficient.
