Vietnamese Officials Puzzle Over Books' Disappearance

The Vietnamese government's social-services division is baffled by the disappearance of nearly a quarter of its library holdings in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Anh Dung, who until April was director of the Books Inventorying Board of the Southern Institute of Social Sciences, reported that 31,214 books were stolen from 2002 to 2004.
