A student movement critical of Israel gains steam and attracts scorn

Anyone who walks into the Hillel building at the University of Michigan here is greeted by three questions, presented in Hebrew and English on golden plaques.

The first of the questions, from the Hebrew sage after whom the Jewish-student organization is named, is "If I am not for myself, who will be for me?" It is followed by "If I am only for myself, who am I?"
