Vermont's Trinity College Seeks a Merger
Trinity College, in Vermont, has announced that its forthcoming 75th year could be its last as an independent college because of continuing financial problems and dips in enrollment.
Last month, the trustees of the Roman Catholic women's college voted to seek a merger with other nearby institutions by June 30, 2000. If that fails, Trinity will be forced to close its doors.
The trustees also agreed to replace Trinity's interim
