Venezuela Will Require Students to Perform Community Service
Undergraduate university students in Venezuela will soon be required to perform community-service projects in order to graduate.
A law passed this summer requires students to do 120 hours of unpaid service work over a three-month period. The projects, which must be related to the students' fields of study and intended to solve specific community problems, must be approved by the universities under rules they are to develop within the next year.
