Va. Colleges Face Budget Cuts

Virginia colleges will have to freeze work on several multimillion-dollar construction projects under the state budget that Gov. James S. Gilmore III, a Republican, announced last week, following weeks of political wrangling over how to close a shortfall caused by a slowing economy.
