Utah Dean Wins Key Post at U.S. Dept. of Agriculture
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has a new official to oversee university research and extension programs.
Rodney J. Brown, formerly dean of Utah State University's College of Agriculture, has been appointed deputy undersecretary of agriculture for research, education, and economics. Mr. Brown's expertise "will be extremely valuable as we continue to strengthen research programs," said Ann M. Veneman, the agriculture secretary.
