Update on Accreditation Actions Taken by Regional Organizations
Regional accrediting bodies took the following actions last month:
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
American InterContinental University, in Atlanta, a for-profit institution owned by Career Education Corporation
Action: Placed on probation for 12 months
Issue: The university was placed on a six-month formal warning in 2004 for problems with institutional effectiveness. The warning was for noncompliance with various core
